Background

With over 40 years of mistakes behind him, Jeff Poppen owns and operates one of the largest organic farms in Tennessee. He runs a 100 member CSA, sells to local restaurants, consults on other farms, and is often called upon to give lectures and workshops at colleges and universities, garden shows, and agriculture conferences.

As a host on the Nashville Public Television series Volunteer Gardener, Poppen is known for his insightful gardening knowledge. He receives and answers hundreds of phone calls, online messages, and even written letters asking for gardening guidance each year.
