Join CSA

To join our CSA you must pay a membership fee of $50. This fee secures your place and demonstrates your commitment. This is a one-time fee, and gives you a lifetime membership in the farm. So if you take a year or two off from the program, and then choose to come back, you will not be charged again, (but you may have to get in the queue).

For more information or if you are ready to join, email our CSA manager Alan Powell alan@barefootfarmer.com or call 615-352-8588.

The Basic Share – This is the new share that keeps the price the same as last year, but includes no free extra veggies for preserving. This is a bare bones share. Any extras you may want (assuming we have them) will be available to basic share holders at an extra cost.

$500/year if paid up front or in two installments, one by the first pickup and one by September 1st OR

$80/month for 7 months regardless of how many weeks are in the month ($560/year) OR

$20/week** for 30 weeks ($600/year)

The Single Share – This share is what we’ve always done, and still includes free extras for preserving food or winter storage (when available).

$650/year if paid up front or in two installments, one by the first pickup and one by September 1st OR

$100/month for 7 months regardless of how many weeks are in the month ($700/year) OR

$25/week** for 30 weeks ($750/year)

The Family Share – As in the past, this share provides twice the volume of food as the Single Share, and also includes free extras for preserving food or winter storage (when available).

$1100/year if paid up front or in two installments, one by the first pickup and one by September 1st OR

$175/month for 7 months regardless of how many weeks are in the month ($1225/year) OR

$45/week** for 30 weeks ($1350/year)

** To weekly payers: Please remember that joining a CSA is a commitment to support the farm, and that randomly not showing up and expecting to carry no financial obligation for weeks you miss has cut deeply into our ability to make our budget. We aren’t trying to penalize you in any way, but weekly payments mean more accounting work, and more organizational activities that cost us time and money, so it will cost you a bit more to pay weekly than monthly or yearly. If you don’t show up, you will still be responsible for paying half for that week ($10). Remember, you can always have a friend, neighbor, or relative pick up in your place.

Pickup Time and Place

The weekly deliveries begin around Memorial Day and last through the middle of December. Pickup is on Mondays from 4-7PM in the Melrose/Berry Hill neighborhood of Nashville. The address is 2610 Westwood Drive, Nashville, TN 37204 (map).

Last year we had a satellite location in Mt Juliet, and would like to add other locations to better serve our customers. The way this works is one or more members that live in an area agree to pick up at the main site for the satellite location and it is their responsibility to come pick up enough food to serve their small group. Please contact Alan if you are interested in starting a satellite location.

Special Payment Requests

We want to be flexible and accommodating. If you are committed to eating the highest quality local food, but just can’t afford our prices, talk to us. We are willing to listen, and we want you to have access to this incredible food. If you want to get creative, there are a number of things you could do in trade for part or all of your share cost. Please contact Alan for special payment requests.
